MADISON, NJ - Did you feel it? The United States Geological Survey has confirmed that a magnitude 2.5 earthquake occurred at 3:41 a.m. Friday in New Jersey.

The earthquake was centered about two miles north of Bernardsville in Somerset County.

The Morris County Communications/911 Center started to receive calls at approximately 3:42 a.m. from residents of Morristown, Morris Township, Randolph, Mendham Township, Mendham Borough, Chester Township and Chester Borough.

"Many of the callers reported that they felt their house shake not knowing what had just occured."

Members of the Morris County Office of Emergency Management responded to the Emergency Operations Center.

No injuries or structural issues have been reported at this time.
