MADISON, NJ - The community is invited to the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center Annual Yard Sale on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kirby gym, located at 54 East Street in Madison, to purchase new and gently used items. Proceeds will be used for new outdoor playground equipment.

A wide selection of sporting goods, toys (indoor and outdoor), home décor, collectibles, tools, furniture, new and gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, books, appliances, kitchenware, pet supplies, office supplies, baby items and more will be available for purchase.

The Kirby Center will gratefully accept new and gently used donations of: Home décor, collectibles, tools, sporting goods, furniture, clothing, shoes, accessories, kitchenware, pet supplies, indoor and outdoor toys, office supplies, baby items and unopened toiletries. No large appliances or mattresses, please. All donations can be dropped off at the entrance of Kirby at the end of the school-age driveway on East Street. Please call the Main Office if any assistance is needed at 973-377-4945 x3221. Donations are tax deductible. Forms are available in the Main Office.

About the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center

The F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA is one of the largest early childhood development center and provides exceptional quality in childcare and curriculum-based early childhood education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, Young 5 students and kindergartners. 

As a former elementary school, the Kirby Center facility is specifically designed for children. Located on almost 3-acres of property, the Center has a full-size gym, full kitchen that serves snacks and meals developed by a staff nutritionist, a pediatric registered nurse on staff and five state-of-the-art playgrounds to serve all age groups.

The F.M. Children’s Kirby Center is a member of the prestigious New Jersey YMCA State Alliance, a participating partner in the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey initiative to implement school-based food, nutrition and physical education programs and is also a flagship center for the Healthy U program which teaches preschool children the importance of physical activity and healthful nutrition. Financial assistance may be available for eligible families.
