MADISON, NJ – A group of Madison ladies gathered inside Adams Dental on Thursday evening for Ladies Night Out. As they talked, drank, laughed and conversed with the Adams Dental staff, they enjoyed food from local restaurants and a wine tasting provided by Amrish Vakil of Main Street Wine Cellar.

Pink and green balloons resembling the event's signature colors were tied to office’s sign at 1 Kings Road, beckoning passersby to come in and enjoy Ladies Night at Adams Dental.

Adams Dental owner Dr. Allison Adams enjoys being involved with and sponsoring local events, according to the office’s marketing coordinator Jennifer DiCambio.

Jackie Moy, the office’s myofunctional therapy provider, said she felt the same and was “excited” to get a chance to meet more of the ladies in town.

Although only about a dozen ladies showed up at Adams Dental for Ladies Night, Adams said she was happy to meet with more members of her community. Each of the ladies who came to the office stayed for quite some time to chat with other attendees and office staff members, a success for all those involved, Adams said.

More than 120 participants showed up to register for Ladies Night Out on Thursday evening. Some were on line as early as 4:15 p.m.—more than an hour before the 5:30 p.m. start time. The first 100 ladies received a special gift bag. High turnout meant the bags ran out in under 20 minutes, according to Madison Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Karen Giambra.

Giambra credited the upshoot in turnout to a new campaign, during which she sent out 10,000 mailers advertising Ladies Night and other Chamber-hosted events.

What's New at Adams Dental?

Adams Dental, a TAPinto Madison sponsor, merged with Dr. Mark McCaffery at the end of last summer, and now offers a plethora of new options for its clients.

McCaffery brings 38 years of experience with him, including services such as dental implants, surgery and full mouth reconstructions that Adams Dental was never before able to offer in house. He previously operated a practice on Main Street near Starbucks of Madison.

“Dr. McCaffery brings with him a lot of comprehensive treatment planning,” Adams said. “He’s a great surgeon.”

Adams opened an Integrated Dental Center last year on her office’s upper level that focuses on myofunctional therapy, an exercise-based treatment that relates to tongue placement, breathing, speaking, chewing and swallowing.

Now that McCaffery works full time at the Adams Dental office on 1 Kings Road, Adams says McCaffery's expertise in general dentistry—coupled with his implant and surgery skills—gives her more time to focus on the new dental center.

Adams said she is thrilled to have McCaffery by her side.

“I believe he thinks about dentistry the way I do, focusing on the whole person and overall health,” she said. “He’s really great.”
