Four Injured When Vehicle Overturns on Greenwood Ave.

MADISON, NJ - An overturned vehicle on Greenwood Avenue in the borough caused four minor injuries on Saturday afternoon.

According to Madison police, at 3:55 p.m. a 2007 Mercedes-Benz driven by 43-year-old Taosong He of Livingston was traveling east when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which crossed over onto the westbound lane, went over a curb, overturned and struck a utility pole on Greenwood Avenue near Lorraine Road. 

The driver and three passengers,Tong Gao, 44; and two children, ages 12 and 7, from Warren; sustained minor injuries and were all transported to Morristown Medical Center. The Madison Fire Department, Madison and Florham Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps along with the Madison DPW, Sewer and Light Department responded to assist. 

Greenwood Avenue was closed for a short time while the scene was investigated and cleaned up. The driver was issued a summons for Careless Driving and Failure to Keep Right.
