MADISON, NJ- Everyone hopes for a smooth holiday, but at Madison’s own Waxing the City, it’s guaranteed. Not only can you get your brows reshaped (and even tinted!) in time for all of the Secret Santa exchanges and other holiday fiestas, but you can also pick up perfect gifts for many of the people on your list. Gift cards are available in any denomination for teachers, babysitters, your mom, and, yes, even your husband! The gift cards are good toward the purchase of anything offered at the studio, including waxing memberships, a wide variety of services, and luxurious skincare products.

Waxing the City, which recently celebrated its one year anniversary in Madison, has also assembled a variety of gift bundles for around $30 each that combine some of their most popular skincare products, including the decadent Sugar Sugar Body Polish, a pair of exfoliating gloves, and a super festive “Glitter and Gold” bath bomb. Other fabulous gift bundles include various fragrances and “flavors” of other popular bath bombs, along with beautifully-designed Illume candles. The studio has even removed the guesswork by pairing together the perfect scents and products assuring the most relaxing, DIY, at-home spa experience.

“Some people might think that giving the gift of waxing isn’t appropriate because maybe it’s too personal,” said Joy O’Meara, co-owner of Waxing the City. “Waxing is in fact personal, but it’s not off-limits or taboo, and it has that unexpected ‘wow’ factor that I think we are all looking for -- especially for those people on our list who we really want to impress or who are notoriously hard to shop for. Also, for those who already wax, you are giving them a gift you know they will use and appreciate!”

O’Meara also announced a special promotion exclusively for weekend shoppers: anyone who buys a $100 gift card on Small Business Saturday gets an additional gift card good for a free brow wax. “You can either give the brow wax along with the card, or keep it to treat yourself,” she said. “Either way, it’s a win-win!”

Humberto Wispe, the other owner of Waxing the City (and O’Meara’s husband), also wanted shoppers to know that getting yourself a bikini wax for the holidays is sort of like a 2-for-1. “It’s definitely a gift for yourself, but as any husband will tell you, it’s also a gift for them,” he said

Waxing the City, is conveniently located at the corner of Green Village Road and Main Street (i.e., not in a crowded, stifling mall) and hours on Small Business Saturday are 10am to 6pm. Also, pre-orders for the holiday gift bundles are being taken now and are highly suggested, to ensure you get what you need. Give the studio a call to discuss all of your gift-giving options as soon as you can at 973-845-9700.
