MORRISTOWN, NJ - Four days ago, Morristown resident Lidia Udrija reached out to the community via social media describing the plight of one of Morristown's residents. Eric Glover who is known to most as the "ticket taker guy" at the Morristown Movie Theater is struggling financially. According to the GoFundMe site, Glover is in need of a home, car repairs and a steady job. The goal of the fundraising site was to raise $50,000 to help Glover "start again".

"I think that this well known and loved Morristownian needs our help to help him get on his feet. I am asking for donations to give him so he can start again", wrote Udrija.

Over a four day time period, over $47,000 has been raised by 1,227 people. In additon to monetary donations, kind words and offers of support have been pouring in. Jeff Barr offered a spare room, Marybeth Boyd Eckhardt of KL Sotheby's in Madison offered to waive commission to help Glover get a new home, Diana DeeDee Richardson's brother is fixing his car and and Anthony Recenello has started a petition to get Eric a raise and full time employment within the AMC Headquarters 10 Movie Theater. Sentiments filled the site, offering memories, kind words and encouragement to Eric.

"We all go through difficult times and it's a blessing to know your not alone, people care and love you", wrote Cynthia Aadal.

"I've been the much appreciative recipient of Eric's uplifting humor and unstaggering kindness since the late 80s. Not only is he a beacon of Morristown, but a "real" individual through and through" wrote Christopher Loguda.

Movie goers can't help by smile and laugh each time Glover would rip their tickets. "He always has a smile on his face, and a robotic ticket show for us all. The kids as well as the adults love it", wrote on3 donor.

"He has touched so many lives, lets make a difference for Eric", wrote Jackie Braun.
