Jo (Evans) James was a longtime Madison resident prior to relocating to Easton, PA. She founded Jo's Hope early this year because she wanted her legacy to be that she made a difference in the lives of those touched by the dreaded disease of cancer. Jo succumbed to breast cancer on June 20, 2009. It is the mission of Jo's Hope to provide resources and educational information about breast cancer in women of color and we are dedicated to working to raise funds to aid in the research of breast cancer in women of color. We are a non-profit foundation that is funded through public and private donations. We are in the process of obtaining 503(c)1 status.
