Ladies Night Out is coming up in just a few hours, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Madison. All ladies should do their best to arrive early as lines may begin to form before the event begins.

Participants can pick up their two free balloons from the Madison Pharmacy anytime after 12 p.m. on Thursday. The balloons are designed to help identify the participants, according to the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce.

Registration will open at 5:30 p.m. at La La Land on 36 Main St., where light fare and a wine tasting will be offered. The first 100 registrants will receive a gift bag. All participants must be 21 or older.

Madison's “customer friendly and service oriented” businesses are looking forward to welcoming all those who plan to come and enjoy an evening out shopping and dining throughout the business district, according to Karen Giambra, executive director for the Madison Chamber.

Ladies Night Out is sponsored by Stitch Boutique and Whole Foods Market.
