Madison Blanks Newton, 36-0; Will Face Lincoln in Playoffs


NEWTON, NJ - The Madison varsity football team scored all its points before halftime and went on to a 36-0 victory over Newton on Friday night in Newton.

The Dodgers will take a 6-2 record into their NJSIAA first-round playoff game next Saturday, Nov. 16, in Jersey City against Lincoln High School in Section 2, Group 2. Quarterback Sam North passed for one touchdown and ran for another and Christian Scarpello scored two TDs in the first-half onslaught against Newton.

Pat Zimmerman rushed for 100 yards and a TD on 11 carries for Madison and David Luttinger carried eight times for 53 yards and a TD.
