Madison Celebrates Earth Day with the Library's Borough Green Fair


MADISON, NJ - Mayor Conley was on hand Saturday after riding his bike to the Madison Public Library which held the "Madison Green Fair" to celebrate Earth Day.

"It's such a beautiful day," said Conley.  "I guess it is also appropriate I rode my bike here."

The event was set up in the library courtyard and in the Chase Room where displays and exhibits were available to view.

The fair helped to introduce sustainable lifestyle choices and raise awareness regarding environmental issues.

Demonstrations were made on how consumers can reduce their impact on the earth as and make more eco-friendly choices.

The Madison Community Garden, Madison Environmental Commission and Sustainable Madison were some of the groups who exhibited Saturday.
