The Madison Cross Country team finished strong in their last New Jersey Athletic Conference dual meets of the season. The meet was located at Greystone Morris County Central Park, where several teams from the area raced together. Races began earlier than usual to account for possible rain storms, although the weather remained nice throughout the event.

The boys’ team got a 31-25 a win against Whippany Park, while also losing one 16-45 to Mountain Lakes. The girls team took two hard-fought losses to Mountain Lakes and Villa Walsh. The finals were 20-41 and 24-31, respectively.

On the boys’ side, junior Jeremy Gann led Madison in the varsity race. Sophomore Jamie Habib placed for the Dodgers in the girls’ race, finishing third place overall. Senior Gillian Parrett, and freshmen Vivian Summerlin and Elisabetta Araya followed close behind.

This was the last dual meet of Madison’s 2018 cross country season, however, they will compete in large invitational meets and meets in the state tournament throughout the rest of their season.
