The Madison community showed its support for MEF on November 30th during its 3rd annual Adult Gala “Fall Harvest.” The event was held in the Glynallyn Ballroom of The Madison Hotel and the room was filled to capacity with guests from all five Madison public schools.

Along with a 50/50 raffle and a wine pull, the evening showcased a diverse collection of silent auction items donated by local merchants and families. Numerous volunteers were involved in the planning and execution of the evening, led by event Co-Chair and MEF Trustee, Tracy Leone, and Co-Chair, Natalie Dines, who also serves on MEF’s Grant Committee.  Madison composer and pianist Jerry Vezza provided musical entertainment.

“We were really delighted with the turnout for this event which was rescheduled from its original date of November 2nd due to Hurricane Sandy,” says MEF Co-President Mary Schaenen. “Due to scheduling conflicts in the District, November 30th was really the only day available to hold this event and our guests had just two weeks notice.  The support we received from the community was incredible.  Proceeds from this event will fund upcoming grants cycles.”
