Madison Education Foundation to Host ‘Fall Harvest’ Adult Gala

MEF Adult Gala Co-Chair, Natalie Dines, and daughter, Isabelle, are surrounded by a sampling of silent auction items to be featured at the MEF Adult Gala, Fall Harvest, to be held on November 2 at the Madison Hotel.

There is still time to register for the Madison Education Foundation’s (MEF’s) third annual Adult Gala, Fall Harvest, to be held on Friday, November 2 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at The Madison Hotel, One Convent Road, Morristown.  The evening will raise funds to support the work of the MEF, whose mission is to award grants that help faculty and staff inspire and challenge Madison public school students.

Along with a 50/50 raffle and live music by jazz pianist, Jerry Vezza, the evening will showcase a diverse collection of silent auction items, all of which have been donated by local families and business owners.

The silent auction will feature several items for the discerning shopper, including an 18-karat white gold Tiffany necklace, a LuLu Lemon & Bar Method fitness package and an Electra beach cruiser bicycle.

For the outdoors-lovers, auction items include golf outings at Canoe Brook Country Club and Morris County Golf Club, along with a top-of-the-line Weber Genesis gas grill.

For those looking to travel, the auction includes a weekend getaway package to the Grand Cascades Lodge at the Crystal Springs Resort and a summer week-long condo rental in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

MEF Co-President Mary Schaenen says, "This is a great night to see friends from across the community.  We have parents from all the schools, alumni, faculty and local business owners who join us for the evening.  The success of this evening helps enable us to meet teacher grant requests through our fall, winter and spring grant cycles.  Last year, MEF awarded $142,000 to all Madison public schools.  We want to keep that momentum going.  We're hoping members of the community will join us for a great night or make a donation to MEF in any amount."

Event tickets are priced at $85, which includes all food and beverages.  Register online at
