Madison, NJ - The Madison Education Foundation (MEF) recently accepted a donation of $4,000 from Pfizer, the global research-based pharmaceutical company, for MEF’s 14th annual Madison 5K Run/Walk/Kids Fun Runs slated for Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at Madison High School. This generous donation, increased by an additional $1,000 from last year, makes Pfizer a top sponsor and provides a solid boost for MEF’s important annual fundraiser.

Suneet Varma, Global President, APAC, Greater China and Global Brands, Pfizer Essential Health and Madison resident, said, “Pfizer is committed to advancing education and recognizes the importance the MEF’s grants play in enriching the education and lives of students in the Madison community.”

“Companies like Pfizer have an opportunity to make a significant difference in public education,” says MEF President, Clare Sievers. “Their continued generosity supports teacher-initiated grants that will benefit Madison students today, tomorrow, and well into the future.”  During MEF’s Fall Grant Cycle, the Foundation awarded 27 academic enrichment grants totaling approximately $75,000 across the Madison School District.  The Foundation has awarded more than $1.1 million in grants since its inception in 2003.
