Madison Falls to Roxbury 3-0 in Halvorsen Cup Final


MORRISTOWN, NJ — The third time wasn’t the charm for Madison, losing to Roxbury 3-0 in the Halvorsen Cup final on Friday night at Mennen Arena.  The Dodgers played tough all game, but could not find the back of the net.

With just one minute into the first period, Dylan DeGraw scored for Roxbury, assisted by Billy Hefferle to jump out to a 1-0 lead.  Hefferle would go on to find the back of the net with 3:35 remaining in the first and give Roxbury a 2-0 lead heading into the second period.

In the second, Ethan Barooah would make it 3-0 for Roxbury, capitalizing on a Madison penalty. Nick Zaragoza and Dylan DeGraw would pick up the assists on the play.

Matt Ubertaccio recorded 29 saves in net for Madison

Although the loss, the Dodgers played their hearts out the whole tournament and never gave up.

Madison will play Cranford on Tuesday, February 21st at 8:00pm.

Madison Area YMCA Charity Golf Outing and Dinner Reception to Send More Kids than Ever to Summer Camp

The Madison Area YMCA’s 21st Annual Charity Golf Classic and “Camp for One, Camp for All” dinner reception held at Morris County Golf Club in Morristown will send more children to summer camp than ever before. Event proceeds exceeded $100,000.
