When the game continued SJV was able to break the defense and scored with six minutes remaining in the first half, tying the game going into halftime.

When the teams stepped back on the field, Saint John Vienny started down a player because of a yellow card at the end of the first half. Despite the advantage, the Dodgers could not convert on the opportunity.

Later in the second half, after a penalty was called on the SJV goal keeper, Madison's KerriAnne Murphy scored to put the Dodgers ahead 2-1.

The lead did not last long, as SJV was able to tie the game to send the game to overtime.

Play continued into the first overtime where Madison and Saint John Vienny battled to keep possession. SJV had a few good chances at a goal on a break away, but were denied.

Then, with five minutes left, Montagna scored again to win the game and send Madison into the next round.

Madison's Head Coach Anne Davies said that everyone stepped up to earn the win.

"They stepped up when they needed to and that's what a team is all about," he said.

Madison will head to No. 1 Rumson on Wednesday to play for the section final.
