MADISON, NJ — The Dodgers fall to a record of 3-10 on the season, after losing to Villa Walsh 43-24 on Wednesday evening.
The first quarter was the Dodgers best quarter of the night. After being down early 7-2, the Dodgers went on a 9-2 run in the closing minutes to gain the lead and head into the second quarter ahead, 11-9.
Villa Walsh would regain the lead in the second quarter from a couple of three pointers. Madison went into halftime down, 21-15. In the second half, Villa Walsh would close the game on a 22-9 run to pull away and secure the victory.
Catherine Crowley led the Dodgers in scoring, putting up 14 points. Courtney Bland added seven.
“It’s tough having a shorthanded team, especially with our co-captain tearing her ACL,” Crowley said. “Everyone is trying hard which I love, and that’s all the coach can ask for”.
Madison will try and break their three-game losing streak, when they play Morristown-Beard on Friday, January 28th.
