Madison Harpist Merynda Adams Releases New Christmas CD For Charity

MADISON, NJ- Harpist and Madison resident,  Merynda Adams, has just released her newest Christmas CD, Gloria in Excelsis Deo. Songs included in this fifteen CD compilation are God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen, Let It Snow!, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and O Holy Night. All profits from the sale of the CD will be donated to Missionaries of the Poor (Haiti) and Chamber Music for Charity.

Ms. Adams is the founder of Chamber Music for Charity, which presents a biannual concert series to support the vision to raise funds for established non profits that help people with basic needs of food and housing. The concert series has just completed its second season and is held at the Grace Episcopal Church in Madison.

Ms. Adams is an in demand soloist and chamber musician, performing throughout the United States, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Puerto Rico. She has performed with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, New York Grand Opera, New Philharmonic, Lyrica Chamber Music, Northeastern  Philharmonic, Colonial Symphony, Westfield Symphony, Lake Placid Symphonietta and off Broadway in "The Fantasticks".   Described by the Newark Star Ledger as having "played the harp with color and great facility", Ms. Adams is a 1994 winner of the Artists International Competition and the Goldblatt Award. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Harp Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and has also studied at the Hilversums Conservatorium in the Netherlands.
