MADISON, NJ - Taking a trip to visit relatives this Thanksgiving? The Madison Health Department asks residents to hold off.
During a Madison Borough Council meeting, Deb Coen stated that the "Madison Health Department asks the community to limit travel for Thanksgiving."
"Madison has seen more community based cases in the last four weeks than any other time during this public health emergency", said Coen.
The Madison Department of Health is asking residents to do the following"
- reduce travel
- reduce the size of gatherings
- limit the number of different households joining together for the celebrations
"We know these are hard decisions", said Coen. "But ones we must take to ensure our families and communities remain safe and healthy".
