Madison High School Students Invited to Enter Nature Photography Contest


High School students in northern New Jersey are invited to participate in a "Focus on Nature" photography competition sponsored by the Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

The competition "celebrates and promotes the creativity and artistic skills of all local high school students," according to organizers.

Students may submit original photographs with a nature or plant theme to the competition and have their work judged by local photographers.

First place will receive a $50 gift certificate, and second and third place will receive a $25 gift certificate. Winning photographs will be displayed in the lobby of the Haggerty Education Center at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum. 

All competition entries will be displayed throughout March of 2018 in classrooms at Haggerty Education Center. The Education Center is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., free of charge.

The competition is free to enter, and entries will be accepted between Monday, Jab. 22 and Friday, Feb. 16, 2018. Complete contest rules and submission forms for entries may be found at
