Madison Hockey Team Wins 22nd Straight Game


SPARTA, NJ - The Madison varsity ice hockey team keeps on winning.

The undefeated and untied Dodgers stretched their state-leading winning streak to 22 games Tuesday night with a 4-1 victory over Sparta.

Kyle Midlige scored three goals and Charlie Cleaves had two assists in the victory. Aaron Willsea broke a 1-1 tie with a goal with 5:15 left in the second period with assists from Harrison Meyer and Jared Finnerty.

Kavi Sinha made 19 saves for Madison.

Brandon Erickson scored for Sparta (10-5-4) in the first period with an assist from Nick Clayton.
