Madison Junior Boys Lacrosse Sign Ups Run to Feb. 1; Winter Clinic Announced

MADISON, NJ - Registration for the Madison Jr. Boys Lacrosse Club (MJL) Spring 2016 season is now open through February 1st.  The club invites all boys from Madison and Harding in grades K-8 to register on their website at www.madlaxjr.com.

MJL has ordered new uniforms for 2016 and the registration process now includes the purchase of the new game shorts for players in grades 4-8.

Spring players must supply their own equipment including: For grades 5-8 a Maroon helmet is mandatory, grades 3 & 4 may use any color. Grades 2-8: Gloves, Arm and Shoulder Pads (must be Lacrosse specific). All Grades must have a mouth guard and athletic cup. Grades 2-8 need regulation size Lacrosse stick (supplied for soft lacrosse enrollees).

In addition, the Madison High School Boys Lacrosse team, led by Head Coach coach Ace Apel, will be holding a Winter Skills Clinic at Madison HS for Madison Jr. Lacrosse players in grades 4-8. Sign ups made be made at www.madlaxjr.com.

The winter clinic program will focus on individual skill development and will be run by the new MHS coach and staffed by the MHS boys lacrosse team along with MJL coaches. The program will run January 9, 16, 23, 30th and Feb 6th 3:30-5pm.  The clinic will focus on teaching and refining the fundamental skills of offensive and defensive lacrosse. This program will help players get a jump start on the spring season.
