Madison Magical History Tour Returns Sunday, April 30

MADISON, NJ - Noted local town historian Scott Spelker will return to his antique trolley for another set of tours on Sunday, April 30th at 10:00am and 11:30am.

"I expected the tour that I ran this past Fall to be a one time thing." said Spelker.  "Quite a few people asked me to run it again in the Spring, so I figured I would give it another go. It's a good time, informative and there is absolutely no test at the conclusion of the tour."

Spelker, who has always been passionate about the rich history of the town, figured that most people simply did not really want to read about it and that's where the trolley idea came in.

"I figured, who doesn't like to ride an old fashioned trolley?" Spelker explained.  "If people happen to learn something along the way, all the better. One thing is for certain, they won't look at the town the same way again."

The tour begins at the Madison High School and will last about one hour.  The tour will cover: Early Ridgedale Avenue, the first Catholic Church in town, the Luke Miller House, Sayre House, Gibbons estate, Boisaubin house on Treadwell Ave, the "Road to Yorktown," the King of the Gypsies, and the Kluxen murder of 1919.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 16.  All proceeds go to the Madison Eagle Christmas Fund.  Reservations can be texted to Scott at 201 400 1592 or register on website at www.spelker.com.
