MADISON, NJ - Madison was ranked 24th in the Best Small Towns in the US Top 100 list by livability.com this week. Livability is a widely used and respected on-line "magazine" that focuses on US towns and their, well, livability.
Madison was not only the top ranked town on the list in New Jersey but they were among only two. Princeton was ranked 29th.
Seems Madison even outshines some of the most Nationally sought after of US small towns. According to the list Madison out-ranks Aspen, Colorado and Park City, Utah, while enjoying the likes of Bar Harbor, Maine in the top 25.
According to Livability.com, "We examined more than 40 data points each for more than 12,000 towns with populations between 1,000 and 20,000. These scores were weighted based on an exclusive survey conducted for Livability by the leading global market research firm, Ipsos Public Affairs. These cities and towns allow for the tight-knit communities key to small-town living coupled with the amenities you’d expect in larger cities."
