MADISON, NJ - Vince Sapio and AJ Schmitz each connected on four goals to steer the Madison High School varsity boys lacrosse team to a 14-2 victory over Columbia in its opening game Wednesday afternoon.

Christian Scarpello finished with three goals and three assists, Andrew Kaye had two goals and two assists and Austin Sterkel had one goal for the Dodgers. Madison scored four goals in each of the first three quarters and outshot Columbia, 27-19.

Goalie Reid Collins made six saves for Madison, which also got individual assists from Corey Ng, Luke Artiglere and Justin Dalena.

Madison's next game is Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Morristown Beard.
