CHATHAM, NJ - Clean Out Your medicine cabinets in honor of National Take Back Day! Dispose of your unused, expired or unwanted medications in a safe way and keep them out of the wrong hands.
Chatham Borough and Chatham Township Police Departments will have mobile drop box locations set up outside CVS Pharmacies in Chatham Borough and Chatham Township from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., October 24, the Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Take Back Day. In an effort to fight the misuse of prescription drugs, residents and non-residents can drop off any unused, expired or unwanted medications. Pills and patches are accepted. Liquids, syringes and sharps are not accepted.
The Madison Chatham Coalition is proud to support the efforts of local law enforcement by providing free Deterra drug disposal pouches along with information about safe drug
disposal options throughout the county. The Coalition will be handing out disposal pouches alongside law enforcement on Sat., October 24 while supplies last.
In addition to mobile drop boxes on Sat., October 24, The Chatham Township Police Department has a permanent box at its headquarters on Southern Boulevard that residents and non-residents can come to drop off medications any day of the week.
