MADISON, NJ - Quarterback AJ Schmitz threw for two touchdowns and ran for one to lead the Madison High School football team to a 36-14 victory over Jefferson on Friday night.
A 16-point second quarter gave the Dodgers (4-1) a 23-7 lead. A 40-yard touchdown run by Dom Luppino, a 23-yard field goal by Austin Sterkel and Schmitz' 10-yard TD pass to Joe Mobley highlighted Madison's big second quarter.
Schmitz' other TD pass went to David Luttinger in the opening quarter. P.J. Mulcahy scored Madison's final TD from seven yards out in the fourth quarter.
Jefferson's record dropped to 2-4.
