MADISON, NJ - All Madison public schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27 as a result of the impending blizzard.
Earlier Monday, Governor Chris Christie declared a state of emergency for all of New Jersey.
Madison Mayor Bob Conley has issued the following in regard to the snowstorm:
"This is a serious storm with expected snow totals around 12 to 18 inches high winds will only compound the actual totals. Please note the following related to the storm.
No on the street parking is permitted while roads are snow covered and plowing operations are ongoing.
Adhere to all state issued traveling bans.
Garbage and recycling pickup for tomorrow has been rescheduled for Wednesday. No items should be placed at the curb until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
This evening's council meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening and all non-essential borough offices will be closed tomorrow."
