Madison Seniors Resource Day

The Senior Citizens Advisory Committee will be holding its second annual Resource Day at the Madison Senior Center at 28 Walnut Street, on Saturday, April 13, from 10 am to 1 pm. The overall theme will be “Editing Your Life: Adapt, De-Clutter, Downsize.”

Following up last year’s successful “Time of Your Life” event, this year’s program will feature a panel discussion with the following participants:

  • Sandy Fielo (RN, Ed.D.)    Age-Related Change
  • Evelyn Cucchiara    Sorting and Organizing Life’s Possessions
  • Catherine Morrisett, D.Min., Grace Counseling Center    Psychological Aspects of Change/Loss
  • Theresa A. Davis, Dir., Morris County Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans Services    Time to Move

The panel will be moderated by George Hayman.

There will also be representatives from many agencies and organizations at individual information tables.

When senior citizens reach a point where their dwellings become too much for them to handle, or, perhaps, because of loss of a partner, the time comes to make a change that often is, or can be, overwhelming. This year’s Resource Day will focus on how to make such transitions easier, or even make them into something that can be anticipated and prepared for in advance.
