MADISON, NJ – The Madison High School football team concluded the season at 4-5 following a 37-32 victory over Waldwick in an NJSIAA regional crossover on Saturday afternoon.

Madison took a 7-6 lead after Jack O’Hearen threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Vince Costa. The Dodgers augmented their lead to 14-6 with 2:34 left in the first half following a 28-yard TD connection between O’Hearen and Matt Mulcahy.

O’Hearen threw a 3-yard TD pass to Brendan Quinn to put the home team up 21-6 at halftime.

Madison went up 28-20 after O’Hearen threw an 80-yard TD pass to Matt Mulcahy late in the third quarter.

O’Hearen got it done on the ground as well, scoring on an 8-yarder to make it a 35-26 game in favor of Madison with 4:24 left.

After Waldwick cut into the lead and brought it to 35-32 with 3:20 left in the game, Madison had a huge safety with 1:50 remaining.
