With much anticipation for warmer weather, longer days and salty seas, visitors flock back each year to the Long Beach Island region to enjoy the many pleasures this resort area brings.
The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce operates a fully staffed visitor center that always sees a rise in demand for customer inquiries, either through its digital platforms, phone calls or walk-in clientele.
Whether the question is about beach badge questions, special event information, places to stay, eat or shop; visitors always get an answer for summer suggestions.
"The business community is always reinvesting to attract vacationers, second home owners and local residents so everyone can make the most of the summer season," said Lori Pepenella, CEO of the 104-year-old regional chamber and destination marketing organization.
Here for its first summer is the Surf & Sip Brew trail, taking those 21 and over on a digitally mapped trail of three local microbreweries: Ship Bottom Brewery, Pinelands and Manafirkin, as well as surf lifestyle-related stops that tell the story of the region and its resources.
One of the surf-related stops include Beach Haven's South End Surf N Paddle who added a new Stand Up Paddle Ergometer to help train for your next SUP race.
Recently the trail earned the prestigious NJ Tourism Excellence Award, and is available on a free LOYALE app.
Markets are the place to been seen this summer, with The Local in Ship Bottom opening up their onsite Air Stream Food Truck and the Union Market & Gallery in Tuckerton Seaport offering Fresh Fridays Farmer's Market each Friday.
For those looking for amusements, the Thundering Surf Water Park introduces its new racing slide: the Rainbow ride. Fantasy Island Park's arcade brings in new games such as Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory and Lane Master Bowling.
Check out this year's schedule for Black Pearl Pirate and sunset cruises leaving out Centre Street and the Bay of Beach Haven.
The Southern Ocean Chamber also has created a new health and fitness listing for Yoga, services and products relating to wellness while visiting the region.
In addition to new updates, there are added festivals, concerts and activities that are built around the 100 days of summer that bring out photo worthy moments, that will make these memories last forever.
