Morristown Area Students Invited to Explore Careers in Law; September 24

MORRISTOWN, NJ  – The Morris County Bar Foundation and Exploring Post 22 invite students ages 14 - 20 to attend the Law Symposium, a program about careers in law.  The event will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 from 9:00 am until 12:45 pm at the Morristown Campus of the County College of Morris (30 Schuyler Place Morristown).  Those interested are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian.

This symposium is presented by members of the legal profession including: judges, attorneys, members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, law school admissions representatives from Seton Hall and Rutgers Law Schools and paralegals!

Admission is free for those attending, however a reservation is recommended.  Please register and direct any questions to Andrew R. Jacobs, Esq. at (973) 532-9681 or or Linda Mainenti Walsh, Esq. at Attendees will have the option to join Law & Government Exploring Post 22, which will meet monthly to help its members explore opportunities in the profession.

Law & Government Exploring is a hands-on program that exposes participants to many career opportunities.  The Law Exploring post will meet monthly and give young people an opportunity to interact with lawyers, judges & elected officials and to learn about various specializations within the legal profession.  Exploring is in association with the Boy Scouts of America.

About Exploring

Exploring is a worksite-based program of Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old (15 through 21 in some areas).  Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, emergency medical services, healthcare, law, aviation, engineering, or the like, and may be sponsored by a government or business entity.
