TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the latest COVID-19 figures from around the New Jersey on Sunday afternoon.
In New Jersey, there were 1,282 new cases reported, with seven new deaths. Statewide, there are 220,013 positive cases and 14,422 deaths, and 1,789 probable COVID-19 fatalities. It is the highest number since October 8, when over 1,300 cases were noted. Prior to that, May was the last time a daily case number reached that level.
According to Murphy, Bergen County has 23,738 positive cases, and followed by Essex (22,749), Hudson (21,731), Middlesex (20,930), Passaic (19,976.)
Essex County recorded 139 new cases, followed by Hudson (131), Ocean (121), Union and Middlesex (107 each), Camden (98), and Bergen with 94.
As of 10 p.m. Saturday, there were 732 people hospitalized, with 169 patients in ICU and 67 on ventilators.
