New Mandatory Electronic Recycling Regulations

Starting January 1, 2011 the New Jersey Electronic Waste Management Act went into effect.  TV’s, PC’s, monitors, and other electronic items will no longer be picked up by Madison’s regular curbside collection.  It is now mandatory that these items be recycled.
 
To facilitate the new recycling requirement, Madison residents and businesses may drop off recyclable electronic items to PC. Problems at 50 Main Street. Items include VCR's, speakers, stereo equipment, computers and computer-related equipment; fax machines, scanners, printers, TV's copy machines, cellular phones and other wireless devices. P.C. Problems' hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday through Friday - 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Their phone number is: 973-377-7711 if you need to contact them.
