Newly Opened MAX Challenge in Madison to Host a Community MAX-A-THON Saturday


MADISON, NJ - The MAX Day of Giving is coming up on it's 4th anniversary, tomorrow, Saturday April 21 The Madison community is invited to participate in the event from 8a.m. to 9a.m. at 35 Main Street. MAX is asking everyone for a $15 donation toward their chosen charity. 

"Every MAX Challenge center participates around the country in this day and each location selects a local charity to raise funds for," said Tobi Bavli the Madison location co-owner. "Our Total goal for 2017 among 90 open centers is $250,000.00."

This year the MAX of Madison, the newest center will be hosting an hour MAX-A-THON Total Body Workout where two certified trainers will coach members through a challenging workout. The hour will end with an old fashion Tug-O-War with members from the night and day in a little friendly competition.

The local charity Madison MAX has selected is the NJ chapter of the National Youth Recovery Foundation.

"We want to bring light to an ugly disease that has affected many people in our area, addiction. With our efforts we can help this charity better equip youth to deal with situations without substance abuse through group work, counseling sessions and community involvement," said Bavli.

Madisonians may wake up Tuesday morning to another blanket of snow, according to an alert from the National Weather Service issued Monday at 3:48 p.m.
