CHATHAM, NJ - The 36th annual benefit for Covenant House New Jersey (CHNJ), hosted by the Morris County Auxiliary, will be held on Friday, October 4th from 7-11PM at The Noe Pond Club in Chatham, NJ. The “Party at the Pond” benefit, catered by Harvest Bistro, will include festive cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music by Half Step Down, and a silent auction.
The event will help provide funds for CHNJ which serves over 2,000 homeless, trafficked, runaway and at-risk youth between the ages of 18-21, by first responding to their immediate and basic needs of food, shelter, clothing and healthcare, and then by giving them the support they need to become self-sufficient and independent young adults.
Over 150 guests attended last year’s benefit, raising over $70,000 for CHNJ.
Each year, attendees are privileged to hear a moving personal account from a youth who has taken refuge at CHNJ and been able to forge a new path in life with the help of CHNJ’s shelter and services.
The Morris County Auxiliary is a passionate group of 31 volunteers dedicated to providing support to the homeless youth who turn to CHNJ for help. Through its fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary is able to provide financial assistance to CHNJ for operational expenses and much needed expansion. Additionally, it connects with residents on a more personal level throughout the year for holidays and as help is needed. .
Tickets to attend this year’s benefit, “Party at the Pond”, are $85 each. To purchase tickets on-line, participate in our auction, make a donation or Fund a Need, go to www.cbo.io/CH/tix
