NEW BRUNSWICK,  N.J. - Rutgers is set to name Jonathan Holloway as its first black president,  according to a published report. 

He will be named president of the university on Tuesday,  pending formal approval by the school's Board of Governors, according to a report published by NJ Advance Media. 

The report cited a high-ranking school official speaking on the condition of anonymity. 

According  to Northwestern University's website,  he has served as that school's Chief Academic Officer and has served as provost of Northwestern University since Aug. 1, 2017:
