Rotary Club Plans Pig Roast Fundraiser for Saturday


MADISON, NJ - Members of the Rotary Club of Madison will be partnering with St. Vincent Martyr Church in hosting a Fundraiser Pig Roast on Saturday, July 12 at St. Vincent Martyr Auditorium at 26 Green Village Road.

The fundraiser will assist Police Officer Dave Cuozzo and his family, who are residents of Madison. Cuozzo suffered a rare viral infection in December which has left him paralyzed from the neck down.  There is no known cure. The road ahead is challenging: physically, emotionally, and financially for him and his wife and four children.

The fundraiser will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. The cost of tickets for adults is $35 in advance, $45 at the door. Children 6-12 years old: $15; children under 6, free.

Cost of ticket includes pig roast and more; two drink tickets which include: wine/beer/soda; live music; a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction.

The community at large has stepped up with generous donations of food, drink and auction items. The band “Jumping the Gun” will be performing as well as members of the band “Rosewood." Silent auction items include: a one-week stay at a 12-person Adirondack lakefront property; dinner for two at the Park Avenue Club; 3-month membership at the Madison Area YMCA;  tickets to Drew Forum Lecture series; tickets to Shakespeare Theatre of NJ; a Nespresso Vertuline coffee maker, and many more.

Checks should be made payable to the Rotary Club of Madison.  For those who cannot attend but wish to donate, checks may be made payable to the Officer Dave Cuozzo Foundation, 981 Caldwell Avenue, Union, NJ 07083.
