MADISON, NJ - The blustery drizzle didn't impede the Madison varsity football team from continuing its winning ways on Saturday.
The Dodgers improved their record to 6-1 with a 27-13 victory over Hackettstown at home.
Quarterback AJ Schmitz scored all four touchdowns for Madison, including a pair when the Dodgers shut out their Warren County foes in the second half after going into halftime knotted at 13-13.
Schmitz scored on runs of 10 yards and 4 yards in the first half, then sprinted in from the 6-yard line in the third quarter before keeping it on a 1-yard scoring gain in the final period. Kicker Austin Sterkel was perfect on all four extra-point attempts.
