Summer Blood Drive Seeks Donors to Prevent Shortage

 

Senior Home Care Services is hosting a Summer Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 12th from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm. All donors will receive a free movie ticket to AMC theaters and a sandwich and other refreshments.

According to America’s Blood Centers, shortages of all blood types happen during the summer and winter holidays. Every 2 seconds someone in the US needs blood and over 38,000 blood donations are needed each day.

Donors must be age 16 (with signed NJBS parental consent form) or older, weigh 110 lbs or more, eat and drink at regular meal times and bring signature or photo id.

The blood drive is being held at 152 Speedwell Ave., Morristown, NJ from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
