MADISON, NJ – The 17th annual Taste of Madison will welcome spring to the Rose City on Monday, March 19, 7-9:30 p.m., at Brooklake Country Club, 139 Brookdale Road in Florham Park, according to the Taste of Madison Organizing Committee.

Chefs from several Madison restaurants “will serve samples of their best dishes,” the committee said. Other merchants, including longtime event sponsor Gary’s Wine & Marketplace, will provide guests with wine, beer and spirits.

“A festive fundraising extravaganza that benefits several local nonprofit programs, the Taste of Madison is a must-attend party for food and drink lovers and a celebration of the best of Madison,” organizers said.

This year’s slogan is “What Are You Doing March 19?” Meet Me @ The Taste.”

As guests sip on drinks and munch down local chow, they can also enter to win tricky tray prizes or take part in a silent auction, deemed by organizers as “some of the best (events) in northern New Jersey.” The event also features a 50/50 raffle.

Established in 2002 as “a fun, townwide cure for the winter blues,” Taste of Madison raised more than $500,000 for local nonprofits and entertained at least 7,000 guests since birth, organizers said.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be available in early 2018 at Gary’s Wine & Marketplace on 121 Main St. and at TasteofMadison.org. VIP admission is $100 with early entry at 6 p.m. General admission is $65 with entry at 7 p.m.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate. Business casual dress code is requested.

For information about Taste corporate sponsorships and advertising opportunities, please contact Karen Giambra, executive director of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, at madisonchamber@gmail.com or 973-214-7014.

The Taste of Madison Organizing Committee is a volunteer, nonprofit partnership between the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, the Madison Downtown Development Commission and the Rotary Club of Madison. Taste proceeds fund charitable causes, civic improvements and business development in Madison. Donations can be made at any time.
