The Madison Alliance Addressing Substance Abuse (MAASA) Holds First Open Mic Night

MADISON, NJ - On Friday, May 13, The Madison Alliance Addressing Substance Abuse (MAASA) held its first “Open Mic Night” at Drip Coffee on Main St in Madison.

The event was open to any Madison High School student who wished to participate.

"The May 13 event had seven students in attendance and there was an array of vocals performances, instrumental performances, as well as poetry reading.

"MAASA is looking forward to hosting similar events in the future and in doing so we hope to establish an open environment where students can perform and relax all while being free of drugs and alcohol. MAASA would like to thank Drip Coffee and the Madison Police Department for their support of this evening," said Frank Iannarone III of Madison Pharmacy.
