Just down the road, at 91 Park Ave., Mor Turkish Restaurant opened last fall and offers traditional Turkish recipes with contemporary and eclectic influences of Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern and other Asian cuisine. Mor is run by husband and wife duo, Tina Greco and Nuri Yagci. Their popular dishes include the cold appetizer platter--hummus, baba ganoush, and tabbouli, succulent lamb dishes, kebas and more. As Greco hails from Italy and Yagci from Turkey, their cuisine bring together a thoughtful blend of regions.
Mexican Spice provides catering in Madison and Chatham. Owner Jennifer Teutli, who was born and raised in Mexico City, says she offers "a little piece of Mexico" through her speciality dishes: tostadas, a crispy flat tortilla filled with everything you can imagine; chilaquiles, tortilla chips topped with a creamy green poblano salsa, shredded chicken, shredded lettuce, mexican Crema, and Cotija cheese; and various chicken, steak, shrimp and vegetarian dishes. In season, you can find Teutli at the Chatham Borough Farmer's Market.
In order to attend the event and take advantage of the food and drink, the public must purchase tickets in advance at Gary’s or via TasteOfMadison.org. Guests must be at least 21 years old.
VIP Admission is at 6 p.m. General Admission is at 7 p.m. The event ends at 9:30 p.m. VIP Admission tickets, which are for early entry at 6 p.m., are $100 each. General Admission tickets, which are for entry at 7 p.m., are $65 each.
