NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Volunteers from Madison, New Providence, Springfield and Summit came to the Moms Helping Moms Foundation warehouse in North Plainfield to help sort baby clothing and organize the warehouse on Saturday, Nov. 11 as part of the organization's "Volunteer Saturdays."
The opportunity to serve their community—especially during the holiday season—inspired all the volunteers to help out on Saturday.
They even had a few little helpers from Girl Scout Troop 41253 in Summit. Brownies Nadia Moghal and Chloe Freeden were very excited to sort baby items in the appropriate sized bins. The young helpers were surprised at how tiny the preemie clothing was.
Moms Helping Moms Foundation is a community-based, nonprofit organization that distributes diapers to babies living in low-income families in the New Jersey area, and has volunteer opportunities at its warehouse on 22 Howard St. in North Plainfield throughout each month.
