FLORHAM PARK, NJ - On January 20, 2020, Detective Geoffrey Rothrock began an investigation following three reports of burglary to multiple buildings at a private property complex and thefts of property from within the same. His investigation led to the identification of a suspect and the collection of sufficient evidence to charge the individual. The defendant, Mr. Jeffrey Thomas (age 26, of Union, NJ) was positively identified and charged with the following crimes:
Burglary (3 counts, 3rd degree crimes)
Theft of Movable Property (3 counts, disorderly persons offenses)
Unlicensed Entry of Structures (3 counts, 4th degree crimes)
Mr. Thomas was unable to be located after several attempts by Florham Park Detectives and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 25, 2020, the Summit, NJ Police reported having Mr. Thomas in custody for our warrant. He was then picked up by Florham Park Officers and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility after being processed on his charges. He was detained pending a Morris County Superior Court appearance.
