MADISON, NJ - This year, the Madison High School Musical will be Hello, Dolly and the production is looking for a little extra help from the community.
They are looking for companies and individuals to sponsor the production so that Madison High School Students who are involved in the production are exposed to unique opportunities and the production can be as professional as possible, said the group. In the past, the school has raised money through ticket and advertisement sales. This year, they will add a sponsorship component to their efforts.
"Each year, over 100 students take part, either performing onstage, playing in the pit orchestra, or working on stage crew", announced Blake Spence and Dan Malloy, Director and Producer of the show. "The Spring Musical has become a “rite of passage” for many Madison High School students who learn skills that they carry with them into adulthood. Madison High School 2019 production of Bright Star was recently awarded the prestigious Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Outstanding Overall Production in the state of New Jersey".
There are various sponsorship opportunities. To sponsor the production, click HERE. Sponsors will receive complimentary tickets to the show, special recognition in the program and advertisement in the school lobby during the show.
"Our musical successfully incorporates regularly-abled and differently-abled students into all aspects of the production", stated Spence and Malloy. "We also host an open dress rehearsal for Madison community members, with special invitations extended to the town’s senior adults and disabled adults. Our open dress rehearsal is presented in American Sign Language to accommodate deaf individuals, and tactile tours are provided prior to the show to accommodate visually impaired individuals. Additionally, our shows include a fully realized lobby display that incorporates the work and ideas of students, teachers, and community stakeholders".
"We would sincerely appreciate it if you would consider making a donation and supporting the amazing work of over 100 of Madison’s most talented students", they said. "We are so excited for Hello, Dolly! and eager to have you be an integral part of its success.
This year’s Musical, to be held on March 5, March 6, and March 7.
