NEW JERSEY - Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $139,288 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Wednesday, Jan. 2nd drawing, according to a media release sent by the NJ Governors Office Thursday.  One of the two tickets was sold at Garden State News located at 43 Main Street in Madison, NJ.   The second ticket was sold in Somers Point, NJ in Atlantic County.

The winning numbers were: 03, 10, 33, 39 and 40 and the XTRA number was: 04. Each winning split-ticket is worth $69,644.

Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Terry’s Deli and Garden State News. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

Carey also announced that there were 273,720 tickets purchased for the drawing. "By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 33 ticketholders won $692 each and 6 others won $2,768 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,581 ticketholders won $16 each and 292 others won $64 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 3,534 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase."
