MADISON, NJ - Madison Area YMCA is supporting families this fall with their virtual schooling needs by providing School-Age Virtual Learning Support for children in kindergarten through fifth grade at the Y’s Family Center. During Virtual Learning Support, children are cared for in a safe and supervised environment, with a high level of individualized support, to allow them to focus on their virtual work with assistance from our skilled staff. With Madison school-specific programs, and classroom-like settings, children are grouped in limited-size pods of students that attend the same school.
Youth and Teen Director Liz Kryznefski said, “We recognize the challenges that this school year is imposing and the Y is excited to do all it can to assist our children and families. During Virtual Learning Support the children benefit from social interaction with children from their same school, as well as the attention, care and supervision from our highly trained Y staff. Even with their masks, we can see that the children arrive and leave with a smile!”
Limited enrollment opportunities for Virtual Learning Support are available in select classrooms. Please email Associate Director of Child Care Services Katie Koontz at KKoontz@madisonymca.org or visit wwww.madisonareaymca.org for more information.
As a mission-driven charitable organization and community wellness center, the Madison Area YMCA is dedicated to nurturing the potential of our youth, providing a safe space for teens, improving the community’s health and well-being, and giving back by providing support to our neighbors.
