Madison Rotary to Host George Washington Lecturer

The Madison Rotary Club invites members of the public to step back in time with a lecture from Jeffrey Finegan Sr., author of the “I Knew George Washington” book trilogy. Finegan will host his talk on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. inside Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, 522 Southern Blvd. in Chatham. 

An avid collector of George Washington manuscripts and other important early American documents, Finegan has gained a reputation as a noted speaker on the history of our nation’s first president. He is a also a member of the Washington Association of New Jersey and the American Friends of Lafayette.

Finegan holds a degree in broadcast communication from Seton Hall University and currently resides in Finesville with his wife and two sons.

Registration for this lecture is free and strongly encouraged as the venue capacity is limited to 65. Click here to register.

Madison Rotary is made up of 90 humanitarian and service-driven members. Some of the club’s service projects include End Hunger 3.6 on March 10, Community Shredding on May 19 and Gift of Life. 

Members meet weekly on Thursdays at 7:47 a.m. inside the Madison Area YMCA and at Rod’s Steak and Seafood Grille at 12:15 p.m. An evening meeting is held at Charlie Brown’s on the first and third Thursdays of each month for those with scheduling conflicts.
