MADISON, NJ - Madison educators are moving forward with plans to recognize high school seniors and eighth graders virtually and with some sort of "live event", announced Superinendent Mark Schwarz.
The virtual events that the district have planned are not in place of "live events" but in addition to, said Schwarz.
"We are pleased to say that it looks certain that we will have some sort of live event for our high school seniors and for our eighth graders", he said in a video message to the community.
The goal, he said, is to "have a live event with physical distancing so that it's safe for everyone".
The district is "at a minimum" planning for a car graduation as well as virtual events. However, Schwarz stated that the district will still need some "wiggle" room from the state.
